I ask each student about the goals they have for their horse and then develop an individualized curriculum. Horsemanship and dressage are the foundations that I start with. From there horsemanship, dressage, trail riding, equitation, or jumping can be the goal.
Technology has helped many students become better riders. I will Pivo (video) the lesson and then edit the video. Edits can be smaller clips to show improvements or comparing two or more lessons to see improvements.
While there are universal truths about horse behavior, every horse is an individual. Training should be approached in a manner of understanding what each individual needs. Some horses will need frequent sessions if they are young, green, or progressing in their training. Other horses may need less frequent sessions if they are coming back into work or are just in need of a tune up. I will customize a training plan for your horse.
Many people like to see the progression of training with their horse. I will Pivo (video) the training session and then edit the video. Edits can be smaller clips to show improvements or comparing two or more sessions to see improvements.
The last few years, I have noticed how stressed many people get at competitions. Showing is supposed to be fun! Shows help us test ourselves and the partnership we have developed with our horses. It's not about winning or losing; it's about becoming better riders. I focus my attention on the effectiveness of the ride and helping you enjoy the competitions.
